The need for more affordable and accessible LARC services
The Contraceptive CHOICE Project, one of the largest prospective cohort studies of women in
the USA (n=9256), showed:2,3
Women prefer the least user-dependent methods: When barriers of cost, knowledge,
and access were removed, 75% of women chose a LARC method.2,3
LARC uptake impacts unintended pregnancy rates: Non-LARC users were 22 times
more likely to experience an unintended pregnancy compared to their LARC
counterparts.2
